Course Instructor: Karen McHugh
Karen McHugh is the SBA product manager at nCino LLC, a leader in
secure, cloud-based operating solutions to the financial services industry.
She is responsible for providing SBA technical expertise to nCino and its
customers by leading the charge to offer a quality technological software
solution specific to SBA loan underwriting, processing and closing
procedures.
McHugh’s professional career has spanned three decades of extensive
SBA lending industry experience. Before joining nCino, she was EVP and
COO of the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders
(NAGGL). In her tenure, she was instrumental in providing her technical
expertise across the country as an instructor and advocate for SBA
lenders.
Following her position at NAGGL, McHugh established a consulting
firm, sbaAccess. With its establishment, McHugh gained a reputation
as the industry go-to person for everything from due diligence on SBA
portfolios to the development of policy and training to assistance with
SBA guaranty purchase procedures. Most recently, she led consulting
services for SBA Complete Inc., a Lender Service Provider and
consulting firm specializing in SBA and USDA lending.
She began her career in the SBA lending department for Kilgore First
National Bank, a community bank in Texas. McHugh is a frequent
presenter at regional lending conferences across the United States,
providing insight into the ever changing landscape of SBA lending.

CHARLES MICHAEL (MIKE) VANCHIERE
Mike has been employed with Mountain West Small Business Finance (MWSBF) for the past 25 years. He serves as Senior Vice-President, Senior Loan Officer and Branch Manager for the Central Utah office. His average personal 504 production has averaged 50 loans per year and $28 million in dollar volume.
He lectures and teaches workshops on small business lending programs at the local, state and national levels. Often Mike is called upon to consult with the private and public sector. Mike is a Senior Trainer with the National Association of Development Companies (sNADCO) specializing in Loan Packaging and also teaching Credit Analysis.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in Political Science and earned a Masters of Public Administration from Brigham Young University.
He has been married to his sweetheart, Rhonda for 38 years. They are the parents of 6 children who are all married. They currently have 16 grandchildren with many more on the way! Mike loves the American Civil War, metal detecting and spending time with his family.
